Season of Sharing provides emergency housing assistance and/or critical needs for those with a non-recurring crisis. Those who may be considered for assistance are: families with children under age 18 living in the home, individuals over the age of 60, and permanently disabled individuals in crisis who are currently residing in Alameda County for at least 6 continuous months. Program runs January 12, 2013 through April 13, 2013. Tax season hours for each site are Wednesdays, 5:30pm - 8:30pm; Saturdays 9:00am - 2:00pm. Provide free comprehensive tax preparation and financial education.
The Community Ambassadors Program engages volunteers in a variety of activities at the Social Services Agency. To participate, volunteers must be 15 years and older (enrolled in 10th grade or higher), not a current SSA client, and not a current employee of Alameda County Social Services Agency or the County of Alameda.
